What’s Cooking 3.1.12

You cannot get much healthier than Kale in terms of greens. The tough leaves are packed with vitamin C, iron, vitamin A, calcium, and potassium. A great way to incorporate these greens into your diet is to cook the Kale until it’s crispy, making Kale chips. This is a super easy recipe and they are surprisingly good!

-Olive Oil

-Salt & Pepper

-Garlic salt

Rise and pat dry the Kale.

Pull apart the leaves of the Kale. You want to make sure that you pull the leaves off of the toughest part of the leaf, the stem.

Once the leaves are pulled apart I cover them in olive oil. You can place them on a pan and drizzle it on or place them in a bowl with olive oil and make them around. Make sure that the leaves are covered!

Next place them on the pan if you have not already done so and add salt, pepper, and some garlic salt.

Kale has a somewhat bitter taste so make sure to add a decent amount of spices.

Place in the oven at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Watch carefully! They cook quickly!
