Lemon Meyer CompressedMeyer Lemons

Meyer Lemons are a cross between a Mandarin Orange and a Lemon.  Smaller and more round than their conventional citrus cousin, they have a sweet and complex flavor with a unique herbal spicy quality.  Peak season for Meyer Lemons is December through May.  Sold by the 18# case or by the each.

orange-cara-cara-compressedCara Cara Oranges

Cara Cara or Red Navel Oranges are an early season citrus that was discovered in 1976 at Hacienda de Cara Cara, Venezuela.  They have a unique salmon colored pulp with a complex, sweet flavor that is low in acid. These oranges are usually seedless and quite versatile in the kitchen.  Use for jams, sauces, sautéing, baking, cocktails, vinaigrettes, and syrup. Cara Caras pair well with avocados, lettuces, herbs, strong cheeses, and poultry.
