Blood Orange Salsa!

Blood oranges tastes of oranges but also have hints of strawberry and raspberry flavors. This combination makes for a tasty salsa that is full of vitamin C and A from the blood oranges.

-2 blood oranges

-1 ripe avocado

-1/2 cup of diced red onions

-1 jalapeno (seeded and minced)

-2 pinches of cilantro

-Juice of 1 lime

– ¼ of a cup chopped scallions

– Tablespoon minced garlic

-Salt & pepper

Peel the oranges. Then cut them in half and pull as much as the white part off (the pith) as possible. The pieces are in a shell (the pith) and the salsa works better if you remove it.

Place the oranges aside and begin dicing and chopping the rest of your vegetables. Mix all of them in a bowl with the oranges and squeeze juice from one lime into the bowl.

Add a bit of salt, pepper, and minced garlic. You can serve this immediately or place in the fridge for later!
