Thank You Mayor Menino

Katsiroubas Bros. will forever be grateful to Mayor Tom Menino for his support of our family business. Mayor Menino fought for us as a local family owned Boston based business and through his programs, helped us continue to grow and prosper. Perhaps the greatest milestone in our company’s 100 year history came through Mayor Menino’s Boston’s Back Streets business development program. Menino and his administration launched the program in 2001 to provide financial and technical help for small businesses. In 2003, Nick Katsiroubas obtained a $2.8 million bond from the Back Street program. The bond gave our company the opportunity to expand our facility nearly 20,000 square feet, by adding a second floor to our existing building and seven new loading docks.

Katsiroubas Bros. also participated in Mayor Menino’s Sustainable Business Leaders program. The program assisted us in creating green initiatives within our business, including water conservation, pollution prevention, energy efficiency and waste reduction.  In 2009, Mayor Menino presented Katsiroubas Bros. with the Green Business Award in recognition of our commitment to promoting environmentally sustainable practices in the City of Boston.

IMG_9530 MM1 CROPWe thank Mayor Menino for his commitment and dedication to his beloved City of Boston. We will continue to strive for excellence each day in our business as the Mayor did for us.
